We are seeking a Field Application Engineer for a technical role supporting advanced embedded computing and signal-processing technologies in aerospace, defense, and other demanding fields.This position is remote/home-based, but candidates must be located in Austin, Texas. We are open to applicants from across the country willing to move to Austin, with support for relocation.This role involves 50% travel, including overnight customer visits averaging two weeks per month depending on demand.Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US without needing sponsorship.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support and collaborate with sales managers on customer opportunities.Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate computing solutions.Support FPGA/DSP systems, RF, analog, and signal-processing applications.Present products, solutions, capabilities, and roadmaps to customers.Work across teams to address technical challenges and support customer engagements.Assist with technical discovery, implementation, and ongoing customer support.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.Experience in customer-facing technical roles such as applications engineering or pre-sales.Knowledge of embedded computing and hardware/software integration.Technical expertise in FPGA, DSP, RF, analog, and signal processing.Ability to gather requirements and make product/system recommendations.Strong presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.Willingness to meet travel requirements.Experience with aerospace/defense applications, VPX/OpenVPX, SOSA, MOSA, PCIe, or GPU computing is a bonus.Salary Range: $130,000–$165,000Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
